CMC Safety Division, Arlington VA - Ground Warrior zeros in on safety for the Marines and Navy SEAL ground forces to ensure they can devote their time and energy to the mission. Ignoring safety tools diminishes our readiness by removing Marines, Sailors and civilian employees from their units and, and place them in hospitals, wheelchairs and coffins. Mishaps ruin equipment and weapons. Maintaining a safe standard ensures personnel, equipment and weapons are at the ready and the warriors on the ground can maintain its sharp advantage. All levels, from the most junior private or sailor to the commandant and admirals, must use their safety tools to foster the culture necessary to prevent mishaps, the associated material losses, injuries, occupational illnesses and fatalities. Recognizing, reporting, and reading about small mishaps and near misses will help prevent future fatalities and preserve the force. Understanding safety can save lives
