Marine Corps Superior Achievement Award
Purpose
To recognize individuals for significant contributions and in the field of safety and mishap prevention.
Frequency
Annually
Eligibility
All Marine Corps military and government civilian employees. This is an individual award presented annually to one officer, one enlisted, and one government civilian employee who has made the most significant contribution to the Marine Corps Safety Program during the fiscal year.
Criteria
Noteworthy accomplishments the individual made to the Marine Corps Safety Program during the award year.
Requirements for Submission
The nomination should consist of a narrative describing the contributions or noteworthy accomplishments the individual made to the Marine Corps Safety Program during the award year (limit to 3 pages).
It needs to be signed by the commanding officer or commander and submitted through the Combat Operations Center (COC).
Recognition for Recipients
Award winners will receive a commemorative wall plaque and a Marine Corps Safety Division commemorative coin
mailed or received during the EFPB.
